The directions to this estate given in 16th July 1936 ad in Mitcham Advertiser reads:

TO GET TO ESTATE— (1) Take 1d. tram from Tooting Broadway (Tube) Station, or 88 bus from Oxford Circus, to Renshaw’s Corner. Proceed straight on to Tamworth Lane — Cambridge Road is on the left-hand side. (2) From Streatham Common Station or “Greyhound” Streatham, No. 5 bus (from Clapham) to “Horse and Groom,” – walk down Tamworth Lane and Show Houses are on right – hand side.
