GORRINGE PARK YOUTH CLUB

Gorringe Park Youth Club, one of the earliest-established youth groups in Mitcham, is known for its successes in the district sporting and dramatic fields. It is open to boys between the ages of 13 1/2 and 25 at Gorringe Park Schools on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Activities are run to meet the boys’ demands, from a choice of table tennis, billiards, darts, boxing, P.T. and chess. The outdoor games are football, cricket and tennis. The Club has the use of a film projector. Mr. C. H. Smith is the Club Leader and he was the first to promote the Club’s boxing successes. Mrs. Smith has provided a first-class canteen. The drama group meets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For further details contact the Club Leader.
