1837 : Pasture of 12 acres sold next to The Swan

– The luxuriant growing Crops of Grass on Acres of Land, and the After-pasture until April next, capital four-wheel Break, single horse Ditto, four-wheel Chaise, four other Ditto, nearly-new Hay-cart, four Sets of capital brass-mounted Chaise Harness, two Sets of Cart Ditto, Horse Clothing, Corn-binns, Stable Utensils, a three years old Filly, got by that fast Trotter Rochester, and Effects.

— By Mr. J. WISBY, upon the Premises, near the Swan, Mitcham, Surrey, THIS DAY, July 11th at Twelve, without reserve, by Order of the Executors of the late Mr. John Carpender.
