Born 4th October 1909, in Kilburn, London.
He married Mabel S. Bolton in the last quarter of 1934.
In the 1939 Register he was listed as a piano salesman, with his wife Mabel who was a music saleswoman, and they lived in Dunheved Close, Thornton Heath.
He served with the Corps of Royal Engineers as Corporal, service number 2136656.
He was awarded the Military Medal for his part in the D-Day Normandy Landings in 1944.
He is mentioned in the Croydon and the Second World War memorial book.
He died 29th January 1985, aged 75, in East Preston, West Sussex.
