A strip of land in the West Field of Mitcham, measuring around half an acre. The strip ran along the south eastern side of the Field Gate Lane, off of Western Road.

Mitcham History Notes 
My grandad Joseph Crutch was born in Half Acre Row on 19th December 1886, he lived in or around Western Road until he settled in a new house 7 Taffys How where he lived until he died there on 27th August 1960. He died of lung cancer which was strange as he hated smoking, i firmly believe the Gas & Coke Works at the bottom of his garden was responsible, this part of Mitcham always had a pervading sulphurous smell about it.
