G.P.O. Postal Area
– Read letter from the General Post Office stating that the proposal made by the Council that the whole of the Urban District should be constituted one postal area, had been previously considered and found to be impracticable. The Clerk reported that he had replied to the Post Office Authorities, stating that the Council were convinced that if the matter were seriously taken up it would be possible to devise some scheme by which the Council’s proposal could be effected. The Council approved the reply made by the Clerk.
