In an article from the Mitcham News & Mercury from 13th October, 1944, he is referred as coming from Langdale Avenue and as a P.O.W. in Stalag 2D.

The Find My Past website shows 10 ‘H. Powell’ records in the British Army Casualty Lists 1939-1945 who were captured in 1940, but none can be matched to Harry Powell.
