34 Eveline Road

Currently, in August 2019, a new development of eight 4-bed houses by Caerus Developments, according to their planning application 17/P1442.

This 1951 OS map shows number 34 as a foundry. It was listed as May’s Mitcham Iron Foundry in the 1963 Mitcham Borough List of Factories. Before that the owners were W.E. Horsman, Son & Co.

The last occupant was Faren Chemical Industries (UK) Ltd., whose registered office address was changed from Unit 1, 34 Eveline Road, Mitcham, Surrey CR4 3LE to 145 Morden Road, Unit 8, Puma Trade Park, Mitcham, Surrey, CR4 4DG, on 25 October 2017.

32 Eveline Road

Light industrial unit on north side of Eveline Road. Number 32 is shown as Engineering Works in this 1951 OS map. The building to the left is numbered 32A.

Currently in 2018, 32A is used by Comedic Ltd, wholesale distributors of perfumes and cosmetics. The company’s registered address was changed in August 2012 to Unit B, 32a Eveline Road, Mitcham, Surrey CR4 3LE.

Note that the sign on the wall refers to ‘Central Police Station’.

In the 1963 Mitcham Borough List of Factories, the occupant of 32 was Alfred Wood & Sons (Mitcham), Ltd., engineers and tools. In the 1954 phone book, this company was listed as machinists at the Crown Engineering Works, Eveline Road.
