Mitcham History Notes 
My late father Herbert John Dudman was foreman at Fidelity Instruments for many years up to its closure. As a boy I used to visit the factory with him from time to time. The premises was taken over by ‘And So To Bed’ and he was asked to join them for his engineering and jigmaking skills. He was not well educated but he was a skilled craftsman.
