Parish Church Youth Club

From the Mitcham Youth Handbook of 1949

PARISH CHURCH YOUTH CLUB
PARISH CHURCH YOUTH CLUB

The Club was formed in September 1948 to promote good fellowship between the young members of the Parish Church. The ages range from 16 to 25 and the Club is run by a Leader and Committee, all of whom are elected by the members themselves. Meetings are held every Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. in the Vicarage, Church Road, Mitcham, and consist of socials, debates, discussions – musical and literary, dramatics and allied subjects, including cycling, swimming and rambling in the summer.

Unfortunately, with the continued occupation of the Parish Church Hall by the Food Office, conditions do not allow for any other activities or for expansion in any way, but new members are welcome at all meetings and refreshments are provided.

Further information can be obtained from the Leader, Mr. W. S. Clarke, 10 Hatton Gardens.
