Catholic Youth Club

From the Mitcham Youth Handbook of 1949

CATHOLIC YOUTH CLUB

The Club aims at keeping young people in touch with their Church by means of cultural and social activities. Membership is open to boys and girls over 15 years of age and a variety of activities are being arranged. Girls’ Section meets Monday 8 to 9.30 p.m.; Junior Boys 6.30 to 7:30 PM, Senior Boys 7.30 to 10 PM, on Thursdays, at the Catholic Schools, Cranmer Road. Information may be had from the Rev. A.P. Porter, The Presbytery, Cranmer Road, Mitcham.

Capstan Youth Club, 155 High Street, Colliers Wood; Wednesday 7.30 to 10 p.m., Sunday 5.30 to 10 p.m., alternate Saturdays 6 to 10 p.m. Mr. D. A. Reeve.

Coastaliers Youth Club, Links Road School; Fridays 7.30 to 10 p.m. Mr. L. Soldinger.

Colliers Wood Youth Club, Singlegate School; Monday, Wednesday, Friday, alternate Saturdays 7.30 to 10 p.m. Mr. W. J. Blandford.

Gorringe Park Youth Club, Gorringe Park School; Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. Mr. C. H. Smith.

Mitcham Youth Club, Upper Mitcham Schools; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 7.30 to 10 p.m. Mr. T. A. Baptie.
