General Purposes Committee
October 15, 1946

13. “The Canons”

– Read letter from the Mitcham Athletic Club enquiring whether electric light could be installed in the bathroom, dressing room and stairs of “The Canons,” the use of which had been granted to then.
Resolved, That such electric lighting be installed at the cost of the Council.

The Canons Minutes – Children’s Playground Equipment

Physical Training, 14-5-46

I have given consideration to suitable sites for children’s playground equipment at “The Canons,” and recommend to the Committee that the equipment be sited on the allotment north of the entrance drive.

Resolved –
That consideration be deferred to enable the Borough Engineer to investigate the present position regarding the supply of children’s playground equipment.
