A jolly evening was spent at the White Hart Hotel, Mitcham, when a dance and party was given by Mrs Webb to welcome home Bert, her eldest son, who has just returned after four years with the R.A.F. in the Middle East. His father, the late Mr H.J. Webb, was a well-known newsagent in London-road.

Over a hundred friends and relatives attended.
