Gorringe Park Youth Club

GORRINGE PARK YOUTH CLUB

Gorringe Park Youth Club, one of the earliest-established youth groups in Mitcham, is known for its successes in the district sporting and dramatic fields. It is open to boys between the ages of 13 1/2 and 25 at Gorringe Park Schools on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings. Activities are run to meet the boys’ demands, from a choice of table tennis, billiards, darts, boxing, P.T. and chess. The outdoor games are football, cricket and tennis. The Club has the use of a film projector. Mr. C. H. Smith is the Club Leader and he was the first to promote the Club’s boxing successes. Mrs. Smith has provided a first-class canteen. The drama group meets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For further details contact the Club Leader.

Colliers Wood Youth Club

COLLIERS YOUTH CLUB

This Mixed Youth Club, catering for young people over 15 years of age, meets in Singlegate Schools, Colliers Wood. It has a wide variety of physical, social and cultural activities and takes an active part in work for children and young people outside the Club. The Club meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and alternate Saturdays from 7.30 to 10.0 p.m.
